Cruisers are nearly always friendly and helpful to each other. It’s a community not bound by geography. Thank you Russell and Lynn for being a constant source of guidance and support since before the trip began. Thank you to the cruisers who gave us advice on passages, sailing, and the SSB: Bentanya, Endeavor, the HAM hobbyist in Marsh Harbor, and all the boats on the cruising net in Georgetown. Thank you John and Kathy of Hanna Hou, for sharing their wine, oreos, dinghy and stories. Thank you Sarah of Elbow Cay for giving Christian, Max, JB and Lynn a ride in her golf cart as her dog, Finnegan, ran alongside. Sarah told us about island life and surfing Elbow Cay. Thank you John, co-owner of the Abaco Inn, who gave Max a ride with his groceries and a copy of Steve Dodge’s Cruising Guide to the Abacos. Thank you to Steve Dodge for allowing us to stay on his mooring and for teaching us about the Abacos. Thank you Junior of Seaspray Marina, for putting up with us when we ran out of gas, secretly used the showers at midnight, and stayed on the gas dock overnight. Thank you Shannon, Don, and Mo for making us feel like part of the Elbow Cay family. Thank you Jess and her whole family for being awesome, for the hospitality, advice, fun, and the trolling handline on which we’ve caught several fish. Jess you are an incredible cook. Thanks to Sandy, Corey, Matt, and Jillian for being cool friends. Thomas, thanks for the stories. Thank you Jermaine of the resort in north Eleuthera, with whom we traded fish for ice. He allowed us to tie up to the dock overnight and told us where to dive on a wreck the following morning. Thank you, Bahamas.
